Praise and adoration

PRAISE
AND
ADORATION

What is praise and adoration? How much God love praise and adoration? How much praise and adoration can call out God? We will answer these three questions.

Wikipedia define the praise as follow: the act of expressing approval or thanks. The adoration is define by wikipedia as follow: respect, reverence, strong admiration or devotion in a certain person, place, or thing. What about the Oxford dictionary, it define the praise as follow: the expresion of approval or admiration for someone or something. The definition of adoration in that dictionary is: deep love and respect. Let look another human definition for fun, the Cambridge dictionary define praise as follow: to express admiration or approval of the achievements or charcteristics of a person or thing. It also define adoration, and that is my favorite one, as a very strong love or worship for someone. Ok, enough of nonsense, let’s have a look at the truth. I didn’t find any actual definition of praise but we surely can see what is it in these two passages, Ps 100 :1 et Ps 145 :1-2. Therefore, I believe we can define praise as making a joyful shout to God, to extol him, bless him and celebrate him each day, not just on the Sunday morning. To define adoration, we can have a look at revelation 4:11. The 24 elder adore God and when they are in adoration they say that he is worthy to receive glory, honor and power. And it says that they adore the one who live forever and ever, not anyone else. So adoration is to give glory, honor and power. We can see that the human definition are close from the truth, but they always include the fact that we can praise or adore someone else. So let stick to the bible, cause this is the words of God, Jesus, the one who saved us and the one who never lies.

Now that we defined the praise and the adoration, lets have a look at how much God love hearing us praise and adore him. We’ll start with the praise, He 13:15. Obviously by saying, by Him, the words of God mean Jesus, and it’s asking us to continually offer to God the sacrifice of praise, yes continually. You know, God really love the praise. When Solomon, David’s son, finished all the work he had done for the house of God, they brought the ark of the covenant and the sacrificed so much animals than they couldn’t be counted or numbered for multitude 2 Ch 5 :6. God love sacrifices, but look closely in the next passage when he’s glory will fill the house of God. Therefore, after the sacrifices, they brought the ark of the covenant in the inner sanctuary of the temple. And then, they start playing and singing praise, 2 Ch 5 :13-14 Amen!!! God love sacrifices, but after what we just red, a multitude of sacrifices, but his glory appears when they start praising God. So we can say that Good love more when we praise him than when we sacrifices animals to him. 1Peter 1:6-9 In this passage the words of God says that there praise is the result of the trial. Look, in verse 7, it is written that this result shall be at the revelation of Christ. Everyones know when we talk about here, the end of time. Which mean that those trials are not little event happening in our life. And for those that will be already dead, they still have to face dead, which is big trial too. Therefore we are talking about really hard trials, and the result of this is to praise, honor and glorify God, we saw that honor and glorify God is to adore him. Therefore, praise and adore him. If the result of these trials is to praise and adore God, ask to yourself, are my problems I've been through this week should prevent me to praise and adore God. I'm gonna let you find out. While you are looking for the answer, we will go read in David's story. David just erect a tent for the ark of the covenant and they brought the ark inside. 1 Ch 16 :4-5 David appoint the Levites to praise the Lord, God love to be praise so much that he choose a group a people to praise him, just to praise him. Let have a look at verse 37, Wow!!! David leave them there, this morning I'll leave you here just to praise God, this is your minister, bye. How much time you ask, you have to do this day after day. Most of the time we are coming forward to praise God and after two songs we are going back to our spot. I don't know but, that got me thinking. Go in Rev. 19:5, I'll let you read this one. I don't know who own this voice but it's coming out of the lord's throne and it says to praise the Lord. Notice that he doesn't ask to pray, he is telling us to, like an order. Are you going to obey, I think I will.

Now that we had a close look to those passages, I think we can say how much God love the praise. He wants us to praise him continually, day after day. He loves the praise more than the sacrifices and he wants us to praise him even in there trial and after the trial. He actually order us to praise him. I think God love the praise before many things. Now the adoration. Everybody knows Jesus, I hope so because it is now time to meet him. Jesus is the son of God, but he is also God. He 1 :5-6 According to this God ask to all the angel to adore Jesus, therefore God. If the angel, who are heavenly creatures, have to afford God. How much more, us who are just man, have to adore him. If he ask the angels to adore him it's because he loves it, how much he loves it? Let take a look at Ap 4 :9-10. Before reading it, I'll put you into context. John, the book author, as a vision of the throne and here describe it. There is 4 living creatures kneeling before the throne and they glorify God, we said early that adoration is define by glorifying Good. There is also 24 elder a adoring God. Try to see the picture in your mind, seating on a throne with 28 persons adoring you for eternity. You have to love this. So if the one that create you, cherish you, bless you, love you, show you the way, give you his hand, and I could carry on like this, love to be praise and adore. Praise him and adore him, it's the least we can do. If we don't do it by gratitude, do it by obedience. God gave us the order to praise him and we know that disobedience and resistance to his words is punishable by... Let see in 1 S 15 :23. Yes it hurts, it hurts me when I red it.

Now we will look how much the praise and adoration call upon God 2 S 22 :1-18. Just said like that, it's good; I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies. Isn't it cute?!! Let read that carefully to see how much it is powerful, we will do it one step at a time. If God deliver David from this just because of his praise, how much more do you think he will deliver us from our little financial crisis or emotional crisis. David was at Hades door, they were no possible exit, but God saved him, Amen!!! A little bit of history. I'll put you into context to save you another long reading. We are in Jehoshaphat time, king of Juda. There is 3 nations walking against Juda, so Jehoshaphat gather all the city of Juda to seek God. I would like you to look closer withe at verse 12 of 2 Ch 20. We have no power against this great multitude, there is no human way to get out of this. Just to make you realise, imagine that USA Russia and China walk against us. So all of Juda fast and pray, then they received a prophecy saying: Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 2 Ch 20 :20-24 Notice when the prophecy become true, yes, when they start to praise. And it be one true in a powerful manner. 2 nations who was walking against Juda create an alliance to destroy the other one, Mount Seir. After this, they start to fight each other and they destroy themselves. I don't know if you realise it, but 3 nations that joined there forces to destroy another nation, and all of the sudden they destroy themselves. When I read those God great victory, I tell myself, if God can destroy whole nation s like that cause of the praise, what could it do for our Church. Let jump in Paul time frame. Paul and Silas are dragged into the marketplace to be accused of spreading the word of Jesus. Paul and Silas a tree beaten with the rod, it must hurts, they would have been very week and battered. Then after they beat them, they thrown them in jail. I'm pretty sure that being thrown in jail back then wasn't a nice and gentle way to put you in jail. What I'm trying to say here it's they are been treated like dog and they are probably suffering, and are they doing. They are singing praise to God, and He delivered them.a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. God can deliver us from our prison and brake our chain, no matter if we are afflicted our if we suffering, God can save us. And we have to do it's praise him and adore him, as simple as that. Amen!!!

If we go over this, God love being praise and and answer to our praise and adoration. Let it go, let our spirit praise God like Jn 4 :24 says. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. There is absolutely no one beside you that worth your attention, forget where you are and let the praise and the adoration own you. If by the power of the praise and adoration God can save David of a certain death and destroy 3 nations, he can surely save you from your little distress. Stop thinking and listening to what's going on around you, we've been told by the voice that's coming out of God's throne, praise the Lord. So just praise him, there are only good things to receive in this behaviour. I'm asking you, what are you scare of? What's holding you? I'll give you the answer, nothing. Nothing that worth it.
